The text, maps, timelines, quiz questions, flashcards, Hindi translations and data on YugMap.com were researched, written, drawn and checked by Ranjan Kumar. They are protected by copyright under Indian law (the Copyright Act, 1957). This page explains how you can use them.
You may, without asking
- Read, print and save pages for your own study and exam preparation.
- Use pages, maps and questions in a classroom, lecture or study group, with credit.
- Quote short passages — a few sentences — in notes, essays, answers or posts, with credit and a link to the page.
- Share a screenshot of a map, with the YugMap.com mark left visible and a link to the page.
- Link to any page.
Please ask us first (in writing) before you
- Republish substantial parts of the text, maps, quiz questions, flashcards, translations or data on another website, app, book, video, course or test series — free or paid.
- Copy the question bank, the map data files or the site's data in bulk.
- Scrape, mirror or clone the site, or download it automatically in bulk.
- Use the content to train AI models or to build datasets.
- Remove or crop out the YugMap.com mark on maps, or present our work as your own.
- Sell any of it.
How to credit
Name the site and link to the page, for example: Source: YugMap.com — Natural hazards and disasters (https://yugmap.com/geography/hazards). Every page has a 📎 Cite this page button at the bottom with ready-made citations, and longer passages you copy carry their source line automatically.
What is not ours
- Historical and geographical facts belong to no one; our selection, wording, maps, questions and translations are ours.
- NCERT textbooks, Census tables, government notifications, UNESCO and other sources we cite remain with their owners. We link to them so you can read the original; follow their own terms.
- Base map shapes use Natural Earth data, which is in the public domain. India's boundaries are shown as officially depicted by the Government of India.
- Book titles and covers belong to their publishers.

Please send us the link via namaste@yugmap.com. We may ask the website's host and search engines to remove copies that use our work without permission.
