YugMap.com respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
• Quiz activity: the questions you answer, your answers, scores and times — used for your stats, the daily limit and the leaderboard.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site. We use this for security (e.g. preventing abuse and brute-force logins), enforcing the free daily limit, and understanding how the site is used. Analytics are collected on our own server; we do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers.
• Contact messages: the name, email address and message you send through the Contact page, with your IP address to stop spam. We use them only to reply to you, and delete them once they're no longer needed.
• Payments: handled by Razorpay. We store only the order and payment reference numbers, plan and amount — never card or bank details.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a random guest identifier to apply the free daily limit when you're not signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember map settings and which questions you've seen. No advertising cookies are used.

Public information

If you appear on the leaderboard, your name and quiz totals are public. You can hide yourself on your account page at any time.

Retention

Page-view records and activity logs are deleted, and IP addresses are removed from quiz records, after 180 days. Account and payment records are kept while your account exists and as required by law.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only with Razorpay to process payments, with our hosting provider to run the site, or when required by law.

Your choices

You can update your name and leaderboard visibility on your account page. To access or delete your data, contact us from your registered email address.
